This is how I came to be an Expert
in "help with tax problems." After graduating
from Louisiana Tech University, in 1976, with a degree in
Accounting, I attended Louisiana State University, Paul
Herbert Law Center where I earned a Juris Doctorate Degree,
in 1979. After law school I became an Assistant District
Attorney and because of my accounting skills was often assigned
the most challenging white collar crime cases. In the crucible
of the criminal court room I developed my trial skills.
As an Assistant District Attorney I was in court every day.
Very few lawyers, and even fewer
Tax lawyers have this magnitude of trial experience.
In 1980 while working at the D. A.'s office
I took the CPA exam and passed it completely the first time.
In 1981 I took a sabbatical from the D.A.'s office and attended
Southern Methodist University School of Law, where I earned
a Master of Laws Degree in the field of Taxation.
This masters degree is a very specialized education focusing
on the Internal Revenue Code and the Internal Revenue
Service.
After completing my graduate work I entered
private practice and continued to prosecute for the Caddo
Parish District Attorney's office on a specialized basis,
retiring in 1999 after 20 years as an Assistant District
Attorney.
I
am Board Certified as a Tax Law Specialist and I am Board
Certified as an Estate Planning and Administration Specialist.
My practice is focused on controversy
with the Internal Revenue Service. Going toe to toe
with the IRS is what I do best. My years of court
room experience and reputation with the IRS make me a formidable
opponent of any IRS agent stepping out of line.
I have appeared on CBS, ABC, NBC, and
CNN news programs as well as the CNN Magazine program "IMPACT"
and CSPAN, concerning controversies with IRS. I have
been quoted in numerous magazine, newspaper and Law Review
Articles.
I receive a lot of my clients from referrals
from other lawyers and CPAs. To see what Attorneys,
CPAs and Clients have to say about me, click

I testified before the United States Senate
Finance Committee on IRS Abuse. You can read the full
